Received notification that my application was incomplete. They need a Birth Certificate for proof of citizenship. Ya see boy, since you weren't born in 'Merica you may not be a 'Merican! Oh well, will fire off that bad boy with a copy of my passport for good measure.

Next time i will try not to be born in Saudi Arabia =)

Wahed, That kind of sucks. I'm guessing your application will finish and be complete around New Years, if we go by my timeline,. Especially with the holidays next week and then New Years the week after. Hopefully sooner though.

Just heard from one of my November students that he had plastic in hand. 45 days processing time. There IS hope!

Dec. 17 - Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

By By waiting room, plastic in Hand!! Mail in paperwork Nov. 3. recieved plastic in mail on Dec. 17.

Congrats man! I hope mine is in my mailbox right now. I won't find out until about 4:30 or something when I get home.

Well finally got my pin today in the mail. Only took 3 weeks. At least it feels like the process is moving.

well friends, for what its worth I signed up here but only after i had some update on my app process, so here it is. if you're like me you've been checking others updates in order to measure their progress against yours, so I am returning the favor.... hope I don't stay in the waiting room long!

Well guys...unfortunately my plastic isn't here yet...lets hope for tomorrow. I went to the gun shop today after work and bought a few goodies. Glock range bag, extra 10rnd magazine (4 total now), Galco leather gun belt and had my TruGlo night sites installed.

It looks like you and I took the class and mailed the packets on the same days. My pin came a day later than yours, now let see if our licenses come in at the same time. Are you in Harris county by chance?

Online it still shows my status as "Processing Application", but I got the big envelope in the mail today with new fingerprint cards. So I'll be going to get them re-done Monday. Looking at other folks progress this shouldn't cause too much of a delay except that I'll be sending the cards in right during the Christmas holiday break.
