I am still aglow from the news yesterday :thewave

I kept telling myself that there was no way that the mailbox would contain my "golden ticket" (think Willy Wonka), but I looked anyway...and it wasnt there..Grr, maybe it will be here today.

As an FYI, I was looking at the November and October applications, and it looks like they send them out in batches (or rather change peoples' statuses in batches) because I noticed a number of people all getting the conversion on Sunday/Monday to license issued, so it doesnt appear to be a "onsey-twosey" type process. From what I have read on the process, they were probably waiting on the 3rd party to get all the licenses printed and then mail t hem out in batches.

My time is short here in the waiting room and I am very excited about finally being able to carry. I want to purchase a new holster from my hi-point 9mm. I have been carrying at 8 o'clock (I am a lefty) and it is very comfortable, however, the holster I have doesnt have enough material to go to the back part of the gun, so it digs into my skin a bit. I need to go holster shopping :-)....Oh my gosh, I am turning into my wife...Lord help me.

Checked my wifes today and this is what it said.

Application incomplete - missing information - detailed letter has been sent.

I haved done this 3 times myself and don't know what it could be. I looked it over very closely. It was an online application the only other things were the fingerprint cards the passport holder, affidavits and the course sheet that was sent in. I bet it will be something like forgetting to sign the application or something stupid like that. I did not check over the course completion sheet from the instructor.

Oh well we are only about 45 days in so far.

Then it is probably the fingerprints. I thought it was just something left off or missing. I stated early in this December post that I was worried about them. The right ring finger did not look good at all. I was upset when I saw them and told her that they were absolutely not going to work. My wife took me saying that personal as she had taken a day off work to have them done and did not know good prints from bad. I figured since it was electronic and at the police station someone would do it correctly. I just dropped it and sent them in. She did not know what to look for and I could not believe he would print them that way. To many people people in this world just don't take pride in anything they do. I am not an officer and or a fingerprinter, have no prior experience in fingerprinting and have only had my prints taken 4 times CHL's, and FFL and knew they were not worth the ink they used. Why did he not know it? He has been with the department for 10+ yrs, surely he has seen more than the 4 sets I have seen in my life. The bad thing he was able to review them before printing and after as it was electronic. The last ones I did, the computer told the operator a percentage or a number as to how well defined the print was and to retake it or not, but the guy at the time kept on until he got them right and mine went right through. My wifes looked like they were almost solid black with just a little definition of the print on them. Almost like he colored the print in with a black marker after printing. They were not smudged just pressed too hard or fingers to wet. :banghead:

I'm still processing, but my 60 days aren't up until 02/19. Fortunately I am not actually in that big of a rush anyway as my rig won't be here until June/July. I'll check it again in a couple of weeks, but am not expecting anything until at least March. :cup:

Nothin yet, and really the past 50 or so days have gone by pretty fast for me. Been busy at work, then at night I'm busy with the side job of working on computers. So I really haven't had time to think about the CHL, that doesnt mean I dont check the status every night after I get home though

I'm not expecting to get it until late Feb, early March.. Whats funny is when I ordered my holster it was on a 10 week backorder, I thought great, should show up about the time I get my CHL.. My holster shipped in 2 weeks :smilelol5: But it's well fitted to the gun now, it's been sitting in the holster for a few weeks now

I dont get in a hurry or excited about much anymore, so when it gets here, it gets here.

The emails have been sent to my State Rep and Senator, I'm on day 61. I know that's not that much over the limit, but it's far enough for me. I'm sure it's Harris County BC that 's the hold point.
