Approaching 150 days. Packet Recieved by DPS 2/27/09, DPS says waiting on Harris County. Numerous phone calls and letters to State Senator and Repreentative have yeilded no results in expediting. Still "processing Application" status

I'm at 113 since the SECOND start of my 60 days. Originally turned everything in in Feb and had to submit one missing item in April. Last time I talked to someone it was the expected response....waiting on my wonderful Harris Country BG check.

Hang in there...... I finally received the update I have been looking for this morning when I checked my status..... "Application Completed License issued or cerificate active". You surely cannot be far behind!

I am on day 120, called dps was on hold for 30 mins finally someone answered and told me that it would be better if i talked to my technition that was working on my application, So then i was like OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH yAAAAAAAA

i am going to see what is taking so long, well she transfered me, it rang a few times then right to a voice mailbox

so i left a message and she has yet to call me back

Congrats, usa1! I thought maybe my wife would get her plastic before you did. And she did the trainng the end of June (Dallas County)!

Thanks Mike ,i am a little surprised myself . i figured it would be a few more weeks .
i really feel bad for people who have been waiting longer than me ...
but as we all know..DPS has their own way of doing things .

Just don't let it lapse like I did mine. My last renewal took less than 30 days this time they sent the packet in Jan. and I forgot about it until April
