Knock, knock. "LT? You home?"
Just wanted to drop by to let you know that the 1911 Christmas present to myself already came in. The dealer called me yesterday evening, and of course I was there as quickly after work as I could drive. Eight days! And I thought it was going to take three to four weeks. The date on the test target shows it was fired on November 17, so Kimber evidently had my Super Match waiting for me before I ordered it. I gotta admit, this is way more fun than waiting around six months for a different pistol.
Tomorrow evening, this one gets a good cleaning, and Saturday to the range!
Oh...and I can help with those 1911 Christmas Tree ornaments, if you want.

A few tree-trimmings:
Haven't figured out who the guy is, though. Or why anyone would put his picture on an ornament...

That Mr. John Moses Browning. I don't know why I knew that.

Strange. My little G27--which is just about that size--didn't come with a lanyard ring.
Remember, never insert anything into the bore end of your barrel...so, J., don't stick your Glock on the top of the tree.

Hmmmmm,
When I was growing up, you would get a bag of coal and a switch from "Santa" when you'd been bad. Now it looks like you get a tree full of Glocks.

Has someone been a "bad boy" at your home?
Actually, I like the way Glocks shoot and their reputation for ruggedness and reliability. If just wish they weren't so ugly.

In the eye of the beholder Flint.....I kinda like looking at em! Maybe it is a loyalty issue.
