One of the grand jurors, Rho Chalmers, is an extremely active activist for the Democrat National Committee. She has Dem propaganda all over her Facebook page, and was a delegate at their convention during the grand jury proceedings. She said in an interview with the Houston Chronicle that she arrived at her decision based on a completely objective standard.

This indictment is paper thin, shady, and will hopefully not even make it to trial.

Was reading today that Perry's indictment will prohibit him from carrying his concealed weapon until the case runs its course. Something about if a charge carries a possible sentence of over a year that it disqualifies you from carrying a handgun and receiving guns as gifts. Believe it was a federal statute.

No federal statute involved. If you're indicted your CHL is suspended pending the outcome. Nothing prevents you from owning or possessing firearms until/unless convicted.

And your link explains why he should go to prison how, exactly? The only mention of him that I could find on your linked site is the following:

I only point out that there is corruption in Austin under Perry for those that believe otherwise. I was a bit too quick to jump on this as my reasons for wanting to see Perry go to prison are personal since I deal with the consequences of his personal political agenda everyday. He has made political decisions that are not in the best interest of the majority of Texans. Right, wrong, or indifferent, I hope he rots.

There's no mystery that Perry is corrupt. No mystery that Austin is corrupt. In fact, I suspect it's far more corrupt than your experience leads you to believe. Still, you don't try people on bogus charges and put them in prison in a country that operates under the rule of law. Now, if there is evidence of corrupt practices that violate the law, then charge all violators for breaking those laws. We all know that's never going to happen because both parties are neck deep in corruption. The Dems know that Perry is not going to be convicted of anything. This is a political stunt for the sole purpose of attempting to gain political power. The goals of both parties are the same: more power, more prestige, and more money.

The lead investigator for the Public Integrity Unit at the time of the CPRIT investigation, Chris Walling, signed an affidavit yesterday for Perry's lawyers stating that at no time was Gov Perry or any of his appointees to CPRIT under investigation by the PIU, nor were there any other investigations of Gov Perry going on at that time. He also notes that he was contacted by Special Prosecutor McCrum who questioned him about Perry and CPRIT, and Walling told him there was no evidence of wrongdoing by Perry, anyone in his office, or any Board Member of CPRIT (who were appointed by Perry).

I read where one of the grand jury members was communicating with one of the witnesses to the grand jury outside the grand jury while the grand jury was in session.

We need to move the Capital outside of Austin.
