My parents sometimes after talking to someone would mutter something about '20 lbs in a 10 lb bag', but that looked like a 20 lb bag to me. At least they bagged it.......

I didn't look at the picture. I just assumed when the OP said a bag of feces it had to be Nancy Pelousy's head.

I just assumed "that bag" referred to Nancy.

Wait a minute. This doesn't add up. San Francisco was good at one point?

There's a sweet spot of taxation where it's high enough that money will roll in but not too high that people will stop paying somehow. Commiefornia has passed the sweet spot.

Economic policies such as this prop 30 nonsense and prop 8 nonsense from the 80s is one of the main reason why I left Kalifornistan. As it stood there, I was stuck in the "middle class" (whatever that means) no matter what I did. It was impossible for me to save nor was it possible for me to live a decent lifestyle. Basically, irregardless of how hard I worked or how little effort I put into it; I'd be in the same cruddy position. It just isn't fair that I'd work twice as hard and do twice as much work with twice as much skill required only to receive a couple hundred more a month in return. That only pays for the rent hike I got that year too. So really? What is the point of trying at all?

I was lucky enough to get a small windfall to allow me to escape that hellhole and move to the land of the free, where I can actually live the American dream instead of dreaming about living in America.
