I had my 3 Springers out for a little papaer badguy blasting, snapped a pick on the cleaning pad.
Trophy Match, WWII GI and Lightweight Champion Loaded. All 45acp.
I "had" 2 other Spingers but my wife has claimed them as hers. I'm ok with that.

Thanks! Yes, the Trophy Match and the Champion are both wearing Alumagrips. Also notice that the GI has XS big dot sights on it now. I can actually see them.
The GI is wearing Kimber rubber double diamond grips provided by our own Seadawg221.

Those look very nice!
Jbirds needs to post a picture of his 1911 with the grips I gave him :)

I just bought my very first 1911. And, as a Glock fanatic, you should know this is a very big step for me! I figured it was about time I found out what all this 1911 fuss is about, and I got what I hope was a pretty good deal.
I can't post a picture yet, and I haven't been to the range yet either, but here it is - a Colt Commander M1991A1. It is all matte black (parkerized?) finish and looks like it has minimal wear.
Does anyone have any info or opinions they would like to share on this?

As a fellow Glock/sig fan.....I must admit that 1911's hold a special place in my collection! They are fun to shoot and very accurate, plus you can buy a lot of cool parts for them.
*ducking for cover*
I would still rather have my Glocks in a holster on my belt and a Sig in the range bag!
Jason
BTW, I will post a pic of the grips Terri.......I will get the camera out tomorrow and take care of it. They look and feel awesome.

Don't talk bad about my plastic guns!
Like I had to tell a guy at the range once....if you really think they are that unreliable, how safe would you feel running down range to grab my target? If you can....I will give you this piece of junk!
He left me alone and I think he might have sold his 1911's for the Glocks I see him shooting today (ok, that part is a tall tale)
It is hard to talk some of you older fellas into change. 1911 was a while back....roll with the flow!
*Ya know I had to say it.......now I am going to lay LOW for a bit and see about relocating (I say this because I have seen some of my elders on this board shoot

)

*

I love them all......just prefer the Glock for carry.....

Never said I was trading UP - just trying something different! Didn't know this little post was gonna start a range war!
FWIW, my Glock 19 is still my favorite carry gun. The Colt might be OK after some minor modifications, but right now I can't see those black sights on the black frame.
