In every election that I can clearly recall, I've voted for the P/VP that I thought would do the least harm — voting for the lesser of two evils. If my opinion of Paul Ryan isn't tarnished by what all I learn between now and November, this may be the first election in which I cast my vote for someone (even if it's just the VP part) because I actually want them in power. I might even dare to have sporadic fits of optimism.
