I'm getting a little worried about my application... I sent my stuff in the 22nd and still no website update...
I didn't upload my docs (crap decision I know...didn't know that was an option), so if I spend the hours trying to call them will they be able to tell me whether or not they've got my paper?
It would appear that it all depends on who you end up on the phone with. I called during my renewal process and it only took about 30 seconds for the person to verify they had all of my documentation (this was mid last year so class was still required). Others have called and been told it is not possible for them to verify.
Luck of the draw.
It has been a few months but I could have sworn my renewal showed no update and then in one day changed to mailed.

I believe mine was the same way. I called because it was the first time I had used the RDS to email docs. Wanted to make sure they had actually received them.

Wow that is crazy that we are almost a month apart and moving along at the same rate now. I guess things slow down over Christmas and they had some time to catch up.

Okay, I called today and after an hour and a half of trying to get a spot and then holding I got ahold of Angela. She told me that what they're looking at now is about a 4-5 month wait average... That apparently the 30-60 days are only for application processing once your docs have been attached to your application which is what ia taking so damn long apparently....

I call bull on them, since obviously it's not taking the others that long. I hate when establishments give crap info. Hopefully you get it soon!

Ruh Roh! Sounds like the old days are coming back. My initial CHL took at least four months. My sons took six. Many others were waiting just as long. Maybe the application rate is rising.

I just checked the site and it now shows to be mailed.
That's 45 days from submission to mailed. From what I keep reading, that's got to be near a record since the new laws took affect last September.

They really frustrate me!!! I have sent many emails to them, and all I get is the generic bull. The status is still the same as always. When I get my plastic I won't know what to do with it lol.

New poster here ...
Online Registration: 12/30/13
Fingerprinted: 01/02/14
Class: 01/04/14
Packet Submit On-Line: 01/06/14
Email confirmation of submission: 01/06/14
System updated to date:
NONE ... continue to get the "waiting on the receipt of required materials" message
Called today (02/19/14 - now 45 days from packet submission) and on-hold 22 min before getting "assistance" whereby was told I need to wait because it takes 60 days to process

and she was unable to tell me if they had all the materials
I know this is the government (but it would be so much more efficient to update the stinking web site instead of hiring a hoard of people that can't give you information!
And if we are to assume State Government is closer to the taxpayer ... I can't wait for Federal healthcare!
2/24 update - I'm seeing a lot of progress from my fellow January "wait group" ...
no such luck for me (today marks day 49 since on-line submission of materials). I've requested a status update via the on-line "status Question" option on 2/12 (without ever getting a response!) and again this morning 2/24. My on-line status says they are still "waiting on the receipt of required materials" - so I'm begging them to tell me what the heck they are waiting on!

I think they work like 3 hours a day and answer your calls on a rotary phone lol. I swear I would love to complain to a higher up about the communication problems, But I would just get a generic email thanking me for emailing them lol.
