It's not a tumma. Lol love that line. I saw a guy printing at the eye dr while waiting for my sons eye exam to finish. While I would have like to have told him, I did not because it was a small office. Not sure what else could have a pistol grip, as far as I know they don't make colonoscopy bag with a pistol grip. But that would be a hell of a marketing idea there. Lol

Printing in Texas is no longer an issue and I'm not the printing police. I'd go about my merry way.

Even my preschooler knows that's just common courtesy here in Texas. We were at home the other day and I leaned forward in such a way that my shirt rode up over the grip and settled there (I was aware of it, but in my own house with just the kids so I didn't do anything about it). My 4-year-old son reached over and gently tugged my shirt back down, carefully not touching the gun, and went back to what he was doing without comment. Nice to know he's got my back. ;)

Well, I'm new enough to CHL that I would hope somebody would give me the heads-up... In the same way that I'd hope somebody would make me aware if I was walking around with a half roll of toilet paper dangling out of my pants.

Joking aside though, there's no way to miss that lookin in the mirror, it's no accident.

Recently my wife and I went indoor skydiving. One guy in particular stood out to me. He was also there to go skydiving. When he walked in with his wife, I immediately noticed a firearm on the right side of his hip. He wore a tight T-shirt, so his gun was printing. His shirt wasn’t tucked in and it wasn’t long enough to cover the barrel of his pistol either. His outside the waistband holster even allowed me to see his aftermarket fiber optic front sight.

I think the author pontificates some pretty irrational conclusions just from seeing a gun.

Late to the party, but here are some thoughts:
- if the pics had been posted in the OP, this thread would have been a lot shorter.
- I have a friend that wears an insulin pump that looks just like that when he he wearing that type shirt.
- if you can't tell if it is a jframe, a Glock, or a Kimber he is perfectly fine.
- "an ordinary person" wouldn't have the first thought about this being a gun.
- the vast majority of people in Texas (and outside Texas) falsely assume that the average joe can carry anywhere and anyway he wants in Texas. After all, it's Texas.
- the best way for one to get his nose bent is to stick it where it does not belong.

You have to realize too. As people that carry we are more likely to notice someone that is carrying than someone that doesn't think about or carry a gun everyday.

That being said if it is that obvious then leave him be. He could be law enforcement. Ive seen some Deputy marshals that walk around plain jane and the do the WORST job at "concealing" their handguns whilst not open carrying either.

just be happy you're carrying and that if he isn't the law, isn't legal, and is just crazy, that you saw him first. haha

Off-topic to the OP, but I had to smile at that one. Several years back, I was in NYC I noticed the "I'm not going to look at you long" attitude of the residents. One afternoon on my way to eat, I decided to make a game of things, and made it a point to look people right in the eye and say "Hi", "How you doin" and even an occasional "Howdy" to see if they responded. For a long time, no one greeted me back, and most would quickly look away.

Then a couple passed me, and when I did it to them, the lady said "Hi" back to me. I took a couple of steps, then turned around and told them "Look, I just gotta tell you. I've been saying Hi to people for 15 minutes now, and you're the first one to say Hi back. I'm from Texas and doing some computer work for the NYPD, but have to know, is that REALLY a New York thing".

She smiled and said "It really is, but I'm exempt - I'm from Lubbock". What are the chances?? :)

We talked a bit, and her husband (who was from NYC) said it's a cultural thing because of a dense population. He said as crowded as they are, and as intrusive as people are of the "3 foot rule" (out of necessity), it just becomes tedious to try to greet everyone, and extended eye-contact is almost considered a challenge.
