One more match.com question: Age difference? Not your age, just difference...
A friend of mine (female) keeps marrying men (her last 2) who're exactly 9 years younger than herself (I guess it's a coincidence) and it just never works out. Of course, to be fair, the other 3 were roughly her age and those marriages didn't work out either. So... Yeah, she's been married 5 times and is currently pursuing her 6th. She tells me she just can't stand being alone.
21 years difference.

At 21 years difference I do think the age of the youngest partner plays an effect. 20 and 41....I say no. 30 and 51, I'd say go.

I'll go you one better, even though my wife of 31 years and I knew each other just six months before we married. We would have tied the knot sooner, but she had a National Guard commitment. First things first, one of many reasons I respect her.
My parents enjoyed 33 years together, separated only by my Dad's passing, after about six weeks of getting-aquainted time.
But I agree, that's not a plan.
In fact, anytime anyone asks me if marriage is a good idea I tell them, emphatically, NO!
Two people who should be as one won't be deterred like a blowhard like me, and any couple that would let common sense block a blessed life aren't going to make it, anyway.
Marriage is a jump made without a safety chute, only to be done when no safety chute will be needed. My notion, anyway.

I have never dated a woman younger than me who also was not more emotionally mature than I was. They--though few--all were.
That said, I married a woman two years older than me.

Studies have repeatedly proved that 100% of all divorces began with marriage.

How would ya'll feel about a woman asking you to marry her?
Not thinking of doing anything big and showy or getting him a ring or any of that nonsense. Figured I'd ask him while we were cuddling so he can either take it as a proposal or just a discussion if that's more comfortable for him.
I have no desire to steal his thunder, but at the same time, I know I want him and only him for the rest of my life and I'm more than ready to start living our lives together.
So gentlemen...thoughts or suggestions?
I was completely fine with it when she surprised me by asking me this past Leap Day!
