Fan leaving an Astro's game with his two sons apparently gets into a road rage incident with another car. White Buick driver fires at the man's truck killing his 17 year old son. RIP. Can't imagine the pain. Article has a photo of the suspects car and his description. Makes you want to not go out anymore with your family.

Glad I'm boycotting MLB.

Update https://www.click2houston.com/news/loca ... olice-say/

On life support, not dead. 17 yo shot in head. Picture of young victim in article.

Update: The young man has died.

So was there more or less gun play in the Wild West than Houston right now? Will there be TV shows in the future about the wild nights in Texas after the pandemic?
This was part of a post with maybe 30 murders on it over a two week period. There are so many murders, I really only post the unusual ones, a child, a grandmother, not the "4 shot at a convenience store late at night one person is murdered" stories.

Anyway.

https://www.click2houston.com/news/loca ... cials-say/

The murderer of the 17 year old out with his family at an Astro's game by a road rage guy has pled guilty and is sentenced to 30 years. So he will be back on the streets in 10 years.

The young mans parents will never recover. Will never see him graduate, get married, hold his children.

Governor Abbott signed a law last session that eliminated personal recognizance releases for violent crimes.

A judge in Houston apparently doesn’t like this and decided to protest by charging an eight time felon only a dollar bail for each of two charges after he held a woman in his car for several days and beat and choked her.

Houston is making steady and rapid progress towards being the Chicago of Texas.

For example, This guy has had thirty-one (31) felony bonds for a total of over $1 million over the course of a couple years for the same basic eight felonies. He violates his release terms, gets arrested, goes to court, and the same judge gives him another bond and releases him. The judge lost her primary last election, but that just probably means that someone even worse going to replace her.

All of these judges were re-elected, even after a pretty solid campaign by Mattress Mac with Police on TV saying throw them out. Our mega church pastor Ed Young risked losing his tax exempt status by saying something from the pulpit.

She seems nice.
“Every relationship that it appears that she’s been in, everybody wants out of it because they fear for their life,” Hawthorne said.
