Someone found this on our church parking lot, guessing leftover from July 4th with someone shooting in the air

The base fits loosely into a 45 brass case but have not been able to find manufacturer that matches the imprinted "P" with google images. Preview of this post is letting me see all three photos by clicking on right/left arrow. Just curious as to the manufacturer.

I remember seeing old rimfire ammo that was made by Peters back in the day and, from what I remember, the head stamp looked like that. Is the base the size of rimfire ammo?

Some rimfire rounds had rims that would fit into a .45 case, such as .38 rimfire.

I’d guess it’s a spent Hilti gun round

This appears to be a FMJ bullet and not a spent brass. Not sure of the manufacture but the "P" may be that its suitable for +P loading. I'm not a reloader so not sure
