Give me your take on Dan Wesson revolvers. I have an option to by a model 15 with 4" barrel (no additional barrels, paperwork, or tools) for $325. The gun is very close to new, with no visible signs of wear on ther bluing aside from a slight cylinder wear.

The gun was made in Monson.

Many people say that Dan Wessons are among the finest double-action revolvers ever made.

The brand is owned by CZ-USA now, but some of the original Dan Wesson employees are still there, and they can repair older weapons if necessary. Parts are available, too.

I'd say that's a decent deal. You would be haunting the auction sites for a long time to get one at that price

I have one like that with an 8-inch barrel, but mine is beat-up.

Dan Wesson's hold a special place in my arsenal! Their 1911's plain and simply, pretty much just kick as much butt as an armless man in a crowd of attackers walking backwards.

I hate to do this, but since you guys have been so good to me... I'll release my source...

I have owned 2 Dan Wesson 15s and plan to eventually buy another. Had to sell mine to get my carry weapon.

They have a very good single and double action trigger pull out of the box. The way the barrel mounts and is stressed by the barrel shroud results in an extremely accurate firearm. They are about the size of a S&W model 29 but are stressed for full power loads all the time.

On my best day on a west Texas ranch I shoot 35 jack rabbits in 35 shots at ranges out to 100 yards.

Grab it while you can.

Dans are great revolvers. They are very accurate. I owned on about 20 years ago; should never have sold it.
