That is why I have an Up Phone, it has a power switch I can turn off that kills the phone. I started using it just due to the fact that I am tired of all the tracking. I kept getting ads for things I was talking about around my IPhones. I like the concept behind the Up Phone.

And I do not think this was coincidental.

Interesting phone, but without a removable battery I don't trust that it can be fully turned off.

LOL! Same. I'm not doing anything that I might have to worry about being tracked I would not trust Airplane Mode. I will say that some of the targeted ads does get annoying at times but that mostly comes into play with social media. If I was paranoid enough, I would definitely be off of social media. If you are technically savvy enough, there are enhanced privacy versions of the Android OS that you can install on your phone to help mitigate trackers, permissions, and location services. But the easiest thing you can do is get yourself a faraday bag and a burner phone.
