Two Houston Fake Cop Home Invaders Killed by Homeowner

A bad day for two thugs disguised as cops attempting a home invasion. Article is short on details, but two thugs were killed by the armed homeowner. We'll probably hear they were trying to turn their lives around.

From Channel 2 ( very liberal ) News:
“Investigators say two masked men wearing bulletproof vests, ski masks, and badges around their necks showed up at the home claiming to serve a warrant. When the homeowners became suspicious, the suspects fired shots through the front door.
The homeowners returned fire, striking both men.”
I have so many questions.
Two men with bullet resistant vests are dead. All shots fired through a closed door? 11pm? Kinda elaborate for your average armed home invasion? Homeowner returned fire with a semi automatic rifle, they had at the ready?

Elaborate? No, it's happening more frequently as bad guys understand law abiding citizens are generally trusting of law enforcement.
Had semi auto rife at ready? Doesn't everyone?
