Personal Body Camera

I need some advice on a good body camera.

Some features that I think I’d like are:

1. At least 1080p and maybe even 4K video.
2. Audio
3. Removable MicroSD card at least 128G up to 256G.
4. At least 6hr recording unless the memory card can be easily swapped out.

Any more than that is a plus. A removable memory card is not a firm requirement if the onboard memory is easily uploaded to a computer or other storage drive. The cameras I have on my motorcycle record video in segments selectable from 1-10 minutes. That would also be nice for this, so I can save pertinent segments and discard the rest or just overwrite.

Gotta admit I’m just a little bit surprised that after 95 views there hasn’t been one person with any opinion or experience with a body camera.

Eh... Not LEO so haven't really felt a need for it. I probably should have one in whatever vehicle I'm driving in but hadn't felt the need for that either. The few times I've needed one on my person is because I'm doing some kind of activity that I want to record and I just use my GoPro. Sorry I'm not of very much help. What are you looking to do with it?

Chris, probably not many here that have used them. I looked up personal body cameras and found several links, such as Buyers Guide, listing the best 10, etc. Good luck.

C-dub, I’d consider the following parallel. There’s considerable difference in opinion in some circles about the use of privately owned dash cams in vehicles and legal exposure. In brief, the camera can record you doing the right thing just as easily as it can record you don’t something wrong. Furthermore, whatever is recorded becomes discoverable evidence, and (I’ve read, don’t know if this is true) deleting self-incriminating files could be seen as destruction of that evidence—a criminal act.

I’m not saying don’t get a body-cam. I’m just saying give thought to both sides of that argument before spending the money.

Tough decision. If I do get something I’ll update here.
