I wish I had seen this as soon as it was posted. My web host can't see anything wrong and asked me to contact them as soon as anyone gets a "500" error.

Just got that same message for the last five minutes, but it appears to be back now.

I also got a 500 a little bit ago (15:06 central time) and I fired off an email to Charles regarding it. After sending my email I checked another site and then cam back and found this site was back to normal. I suspect someone has a site hosted on the same server as this machine that occasionally uses up a lot of memory which can cause php to not function resulting in a 500 error.

Well, the "500" error messages are apparently related to limitation on the hosting account. I have plenty of storage and bandwidth, but there are other limitations that are coming into play with the growth of the forum. This is Greek to me, but you experts probably know what this means:
- 65MB of memory per script
180seconds per script execution
20 simultaneous processes
If this continues, I guess I'll have to do something else.

I could be fired...That might help...
(Somehow I believe this might entice someone to send me the bill...I better shutup...

I know what it means... but I am having a problem understanding why this site would consume more than that. Or do you have multiple sites all being run from the same hosting platform (I would bet that you do).
