NOTICE: TexasCHLforum may be down briefly

I am transferring the TexasCHLforum.com domain name registration from Network Solutions to GoDaddy and the forum may be "down" for a short while. How long will depend upon when the transfer is actually complete and whether this happens when I'm at the office or at home.
If you can't get into TexasCHLforum, then you can use this address:

I also have a link to the forum on TexasShooting.com and I'll change it tonight to be sure it's a direct link.

We did that EXACT same transfer for some of our work domains this morning. Holler if you have any questions, but GoDaddy is a great registrar and their phone support is first rate.

You may wish to remind people that DNS servers refresh at different times and intervals, it could be up to two days before the change over is completely stable.

I have about 10 domains with GD. Their transfers usually on the take 5-30min. They are top notch!!!

Yeah, but it isn't just GD that has to do the updateing. You can help by setting the TTL low right before a transfer, but there is still propogation time to all of the other DNS servers that are in use. GD might be done in 5 minutes, but hick ISP in podunk might take 24 hours to get the update.

I have had excelent success with GoDaddy. Their rates are good, Their uptime is right superior. Even their email is rocksolid. Phone service is top notch.

funny thing is, I got the Error 500 message when I tried to enter this thread, then again when I replied!

I would expect the 500 message to be on the hosting side and that isn't changing if Charles is just doing the registration through GD. I don't expect the registrar change to affect the 500 errors at all.
Unless there is something SERIOUSLY funky with your DNS registrations...

I just got a Network Solutions "coming soon" message from the texaschlforum.com link that I normally use. Re routed through the texasshooting.com website with no problems though.

I'm now getting one of those default search sites at the texaschlforum.com link... Looks like Network Solutions might be making some money off of that site while the transfer is happening. Is anyone else seeing this or just me?

I'm getting it too and I don't understand why. The transfer to GoDaddy was complete yesterday and I pointed the redirector at the server about 10:00 pm last night. I have no idea why Network Solutions would still be involved.
I've been told it will take 24 to 48 hrs to resolve.
