Tactical Flashlights

I already have a surefire, but i was in Sam's Club today and they had a two pack of 80 lumen Xenon Flashlights for 20 bucks (with 4 123A batteries). The brand is Cyclops and they aren't the same quality as Surefire, but the price was excellent and they are anodized aluminum. Figured I'd toss one in the console of both cars.

I got the same set last week. Gave one to the wife for her purse and put one in the glove box of her car. I think they're pretty bright but no way are they 80 lumens.
My little 50 lumen surefire is brighter. For $20 bucks though, it's a heck of a deal. I might go buy another 2 pack and put one in the glove box of each truck. :D

Thanks John. I'm going to pick up a couple of packs to spread lights around. They sould like a good supplement to our two Surefires. At $100+ each, I won't put Surefires in each room!!
Regards,
Chas.

They are less expensive, and an excellent deal. It's actually this light, minus the belt clip and times two:

Silly question...
Are replacement batteries easily available???
Or is there an A/C or D/C charging capability???
They certainly look to be a cost effective backup to some of the higher end lights these days...
I've got to find a way to re-install my "SL" light I have, in the new truck...

Standard 3V 123A Batteries. I order them from Surfire by the box of 12 for about 15 Bucks. The batteries are supposed to have a 10 year shelf life.
The batteries, or the flashlight, are not rechargeable.
Highvelocity is correct about them not being 80 Lumens. I have a 65 Lumen Surefire that out shines these (I just shined them on the wall at 10 feet or so to compare), but at 10 bucks each, they beat the hell out of a mini-mag in terms of light output. My guess is these are equivalent to the Surefure G2, but less expensive and all aluminium.

I picked up the same pkg. last week and gave one to the wife and the other one to my son.
Not as bright as my Surefire, but not bad at all.
They also have the tail-cap button feature that is especially good for a tactical light that may have to be held in conjunction with a handgun.

My Sam's finally had these in stock, so I picked up a two-pack. They're much brighter and smaller than my Dorcy Luxeon LED, and the full spectrum light greatly increases visibility.
(Another great thing is that they have a "tactical clickie" tailswitch, instead of the completely stupid "reverse clickie" found on the Dorcy. Plus, the switch isn't overly stiff... it's just right.)
It's odd, but the LEDs are more blinding if you take a shot right in the eyes, but the Xenons make it much easier to see what you're looking at.
Sam's also has a two-pack of silver aluminum lights with a 1 Watt Luxeon LED. It uses a carrier for 3 AAA cells, just like the Dorcy. No tail switch, and much fatter than the Cyclops. I've decided I'm not buying another LED unless I can cough up the cash for a seriously good one, with full power regulation, and whiter light.

At twenty bucks a pair, I'm going to pick up a couple more packs. That will give me at least a couple for the vehicles, and maybe a package for a Christmas gift.
