Wow, Sig came up with a pretty unique firearm this time.
It's a 9mm and comes with 3 polymer frames (Compact, sub-compact and fullsize), and all you do is switch out the mechanism inside and you can use any of the grips. Also, and IMO this is the coolest part is the fact that you can switch out the barrel/magazine to .40, .357 sig and also .45.

Even if you dont like Polymer guns you have to admit its pretty cool.

so you get 6 pistols in one..or do you have to buy the other slides and stuff separately?

You get the 3 frames, the slide stays the same but you have to buy other barrels/mags. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

That is cool. I see other manufacturers copying this in the future.

Now that all sounds just peachy. Maybe a little far-fetched but an idea who's time has come. But I can't help thinking that this is a new deal here. I wouldn't get any speeding tickets on the way to the gunshop till enough time has passed that we can see if this thing is gonna fly or just flop around and flap it's wings.
Time and trials will tell. If it turns out to be as good as it sounds I'll definitely add it to my collection. Just gonna hang back awhile and let 'em get any bugs out before I make my move....

I'll have 6 of them on hand early next week, and one is going to the range with me and 1000 rounds. I'll let you know what I think of them.
They plan on three grip frame sizes with three widths each,:
A full size (20 rounds of 9mm)
Compact and (16 rounds of 9mm
Sub Compact
Each coming in Sm Med and Lg grip circumferences.
All that will be out before shot show is the 9mm compact/medium, I believe.

The trigger is what fascinates me...
I think I missed the MSRP...I'll go back and look at the link, but does anyone know what the walkout price is???
EDIT: Ahh, $699.00
Whew, I know folks are going to need to make money on these things, but thats almost a bit over the top in my opinion...
I don't think you'll get anything but the base gun, couple of mags, and the grip change outs, right??? All that other flexible stuff will be bought separate...Right???

I've seen it offered for retail at $569.00.

Yep, I figured the "wish" price from the manufacturer would come down to something like that...
I'm still trying to sell my SigPro 2340, and the money I get from that I'd like to get something else...And this "something else" is peaking my interest...

At current he has no shop. *Sniff* It makes me sad because he has to be the best internet dealer I've ever dealt with. Go check out his offerings in the classified section of SigForum to see some of his goodies.
No storefront aside, if you're looking for a great deal on a Sig, there is absolutely no way you can beat his price/service.
Sorry for the shameless plug, but its for a very deserving guy.
Need any help/second opinions on your P250 range trip Ted?

I'm interested to know what all comes with the initial purchase and the trigger action.
If you have to fully release the trigger before it resets, I don't think I would want it, but will wait to make that call after I handle one.
