New adult toys for me..

Springfield Champion went from show to the jeweler for plating. Going to make a display case for it. Too shiny to shoot,......almost.
Got the Kimber from the jeweler while I was there. Never saw a polymer Kimber HiCap. 1911'ish but holds 13+1 of .45 loving.

Hows that Kimber feel as far as grip width?

Grip thickness looks and feels the same to me. The side panels are only about 16th" thick compared to regular 1911 being almost 1/2" thick. Thats how they squeezed a doubls stack mag in there. It isnt all fat like the hicap Para-Ord pistols. here is a shot of the butts.
It feels a little different as it is more Glockish in shape but not enough to matter to me.

I'm mixed. Its beautiful, but on the other hand , putting it out to pasture is a shame for a nice gun.

Kinda like the show cars that can make 1000 hp but always get pushed around. I plan on shooting it but not very often. i dont have any guns I wont shoot, just a couple i cant get ammo for.
