I apologize in advance if this has been posted before. I typed it "Ron Paul Virginia" and went through 5 pages of posts and could not find it.

Although Virginia does allow individuals to carry concealed weapons if they first obtain a permit, college campuses within the state are specifically exempted. Virginia Tech, like all Virginia colleges, is therefore a gun-free zone, at least for private individuals. And as we witnessed, it didn’t matter how many guns the police had. Only private individuals on the scene could have prevented or lessened this tragedy. Prohibiting guns on campus made the Virginia Tech students less safe, not more.

In part 2, he answers a question about his vote against lawsuit immunity for gun makers. As I (and others) have said, it was a principled vote based on the Constitution, and consistency.

The fellow asking the question is Mike Peltier, who had his own brush with internet fame a couple of years ago, while openly carrying in a book store in Salem, NH. It was all covered on PDO at the time. The videographer is Dave Ridley, who also had a brief moment of Youtube fame when questioned for openly carrying in Manchester, NH. (Both were allowed to go on their way after talking with police, because they weren't doing anything illegal.)

Good gun friendly folks up there. I can't imagine Hillary or Romney showing up at a campaign stop where people are openly carrying (and those that aren't, are carrying concealed).
