saw this on another forum. Pretty scary that he got arrested and appeared to do nothing wrong. Sounds like Connecticut doesn't require the handgun to be concealed and the cops trumped up some charges.

There's a link to the police report inside the thread from the other forum. What a crock.

Just wondering as far as Texas goes - - since it didn't appear to be intentional, I guess he wasn't breaking any laws by failing to conceal the weapon( if this happened here), but it would be more of a case of his word against the employees and an arrest wouldn't seem as bad.

Here's a news article:

He was arrested on a charge of breach of peace on June 21 at Chili's after an employee complained about seeing the gun under his T-shirt, and the misdemeanor charge was dismissed about a month later at Superior Court in Manchester.
Just see how much trouble one frightened lamb can cause. The fact that a person has a valid permit and is not legally barred from carrying in that establishment, doesn't mean there won't be trouble.

This could happen to anyone of us. It would all hinge on the decisions made by the officer(s) that take the call.

We all remember what happened at a bank that got spooked and that guy didn't even have a gun.
