Quick question concerning reciprocity

I'll be driving to Mississippi tomorrow to stay with some friends duing the new year's break. A quick look at Texas reciprocity maps suggests I'm fine with my CHL in Louisiana and Mississippi.
Apparently I need to be familiar with their own local laws concerning specifics but the overall picture is that I can carry concealed in both of those states as long as I have a Texas CHL, correct?
I figured I'd post it here just to be 100% sure.
Thanks!

Correct. I've carried in Florida, Colorado, and a handful of other states (mostly transiting TO the abovementioned two states) on my Texas CHL permit. As you state, you should review all local relevant laws, particularly with regards to the "off limits" location.
I've found
http://www.handgunlaw.us/ to be an invaluable site for this purpose - there is also an "Other States" forum here on TexasCHLForum if you have specific questions on MS.
It's also not a bad idea to print out and keep with you a copy of the reciprocity agreement (available via the above site or the Texas DPS site) in case you run across any "uninformed" LEOs.

Also review the requirements for what you must do if pulled over while driving. That will be your highest probability of encountering an LEO on your trip.
