Traffic stop in CO or NM with CHL?

Next week I am headed on a ski vacation, headed from gods county across NM into CO,

Anyone know FOR SURE how to act in a traffic stop in CO or NM? I have read where some state you are not to tell unless asked ect,,, and I want to know for sure

I have found that I can only carry one gun in NM, does not make since but I’ll comply. And in both states any type of no gun (gun buster what have you) mean no business from me. And I can’t carry while on the slopes (was not going to).

Without packing.org, I struggle to find this info… any thoughts, knowledge or links?

The replacement for packing.org is http://www.handgunlaw.us

Hopefully it'll have the specific information that you're looking for if a member here doesn't know offhand.

Look here:

http://www.handgunlaw.us/documents/USOffLimitsN-W.pdf

NM starts on page 7.

You are not required to notify in NM.

http://www.handgunlaw.us/documents/USOffLimitsA-M.pdf

CO starts on page 8.

Also not required to notify officer.

Careful now. National Parks are a nogo nationwide. They are controlled by the Feds. State parks vary by state.

The CO site says yes for state parks and yes for state/national FORESTS.

The NM site says no for state parks and no to federal properties, wildlife mgmt area, tribal and many others.

I stand corrected, I did mean forest (as in San Juan National Forest), as that’s were I frequent, Jeeps and fishing,,,, Just not this time of year.
