Found this in LA pohibited places:
Any portion of the permitted area of an establishment that has been granted a Class A General retail permit, as defined in Part II of Chapter 1 or Part II of Chapter 2 of Title 26 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, to sell alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises.
If you can walk around with drinks in hand throughout the facility (normal for New Orleans) then the entire area is off limits.

Buzzer Sound!!!! Sorry wrong. This has been discussed here before. It basically boils down to the same law in TX. It has to actually be a "bar". There are different types of licenses issued to establishments wanting to sell alcohol in LA. If your a bar you would have the Class A general. Casinos also get that one. I did live in NOLA for a while and will tell you that the convention center does have a "no guns" policy posted on the front door (I think it actualyl says "no weapons"). This holds the same water as a valid 30.06 sign in TX though.
