I have a stock Glock 19 and would like to replace the trigger with 3.5#, and an extended slide lock button (?),extended magazine release button (?) and dot over dot tritium night sights.

Trouble is, except possibly for the sights and I'm open for suggestion (I'm looking at Heine Slant Pro Straight 8's) I've no idea what brand to buy for these parts or for that matter, what brand to avoid.

Anyone here have advice on this?

I put Glock factory parts in my 19 and 27. I replaced with a smooth face trigger (G17), 3.5# connector and extended slide stop lever. I've thought about extended mag release and extended slide lock, but have not replaced those as of yet. I had the sights replaced with Trijicon tritium green dot night sights on both.

I purchased the sights (Trijicon part # GL01) for ~$85 from opticsplanet.com and the trigger and controls from glockparts.com.

I have had really good luck with both Lone Wolf distributors and ombexpress. I am almost sure that you will have difficulty finding a factory 3.5 lb. connector...they are not really easy to come by anymore...they can be had, but it will take some patience. Lone wolf offers an aftermarket part that people are getting good results with. I would steer clear of parts such as ghost that require some fitting.

I caution you on a couple of the parts you want to replace...they can be problematic for people with big mitts if you are squeezing hard on the gun. The extended slide lock lever is the first thing I dispose of if I get a Glock with one. I am learning to love the extended mag catch with generous attention from an emory board It is pretty common for extended controls to cause malfunctions when you accidently press them.

I would recommend anything from the Warren/Sevigny line of glock sights. The Sevigny carry sights are the best looking sight picture I have ever seen.

I should clarify my post above...

all of the parts I have replaced in my 19 and 27 (except the sights) are advertised as Glock factory parts, including the 3.5# connector. From glockparts.com, the connector is ~$20 and can be had all day long. The last order I made to them was on a Saturday morning, it shipped Sat afternoon and I received it by Wednesday.

I have not heard anything bad about the LWD connectors and they are a bit less expensive than the Glock factory piece.

I have small hands and cannot operate either the slide lock or magazine release one handedly, thus I'm hoping that with extensions on both I'll be able to. Or if not, I'll at least be more efficient in operating them with both hands simultaneously. I hope. Currently I do a lot of fumbling...

The 3.5# trigger I'm thinking will help me with accuracy and so too the new sights. Maybe...

All that said, I know of no Glock armorer per se who does this.

I'm also considering getting the grip reduced. Again, I know of no one in the Clear Lake/Galveston area who does this.

So, my questions continue.
