				Levels of Membership

				I don't know if this is posted somewhere, but I have been unable to find it...
Could somebody tell me what the levels of membership are here, and how each level is attained? I know that I am a junior member, which makes sense since I'm new. I'm just wondering how each level is defined.
Thanks!

				That is defined by the forum software and the ones in charge can decide what the levels and names are. But I don't know where the cut offs are. Or even what all of the membership levels are.

				Junior member is just that. Member seems to kick in right around 100 posts, and Senior member looks like it's going to be just about 250. Just guessing.

Membership levels change from Junior Member, to Member, to Senior Member depending on the number of posts you have. I can't remember the exact numbers, but think a senior members is greater than 250. There is nothing magic about being member ot senior member, just that we have been here long enough to build up our post counts.
Moderators are just that; we are assigned the position by Charles and volunteer to help keep the board running smooth and watch the forum to assist members in staying within the forum guidelines on their posts.
Hope that answers the question.

				Senior member apparently kicks in at 200 posts.
At a couple of other forums I frequent, that use versions of this software, the transition from junior member to members is at 30 posts.

				It's very easy to see if you go to 'Members' and sort by number of posts.
Then look at when the changes in 'Rank' occur.
Junior Member -> Member  45

Member -> Senior Member 200

Aren't you a smarty! Thanks Mike

				There are benefits that come with the different levels…for instance, all Junior Members get a $20 check each month. Members get the $20 check and 4 free passes to the forum gym. Senior Members get a $200 check each month, free membership to the gym, and a key to the forum executive bathrooms (They do have to pay a toilet paper tax though). Moderators get the same as Senior, except they don't pay the TP tax...and of course Charles gets all the benifits listed above, plus he gets to pick the TP.

I got mine…haven’t the rest of you folks been getting yours?? No...well I'm sure it's in the mail

Joking aside, I guess I haven’t really seen any differences between the levels. All posts seem to stand or fall based on their own merit, not the current status of the author. I believe Charles even removed the level rules in the Buy/Sale section.
I’m actually glad there aren’t any incentives to get to the “next level since that could encourage folks to post nothing of value just to get their count up, which does nothing but clutter up the forum.

I love your quote. I wish more people would understand that.
