Need prayers for family.

My mom called me this morning. During her shower, she found the dreaded "lump". Don't know anything right now, she's trying to get an appointment with her doctor as soon as possible. Breast cancer runs in her family, so please, keep her in your prayers.

You guys are added to my list. I have 'been there - done that' with my Mom twice and she is doing great at 87! Just let your Mom know there are SOOOO many good procedures and techniques these days and they can do wonders!!!

God bless,

Thanks, everyone. She has an appointment with her primary doc tomorrow. Will schedule all the tests ASAP.

Added: She's a CHL'er too. I'm trying to get her to check out the forum here, but she's not a big computer person. She has trouble just checking her e-mail sometimes. ;-)

Prayers from our house. She did absolutely the best thing by getting it checked right away.

More prayers here, and also a word of encouragement: lumps aren't always bad news. My mother has had multiple biopsies, aspirations, lumpectomies, etc., and has always proved to be 100% cancer free. She even had a tumor do a 270 degree "surround" on an ovary, and it was also benign.

All went well today at the doctor's office. Mom said lump was smaller today, and doc said malignant lumps usually don't move when palpated, they feel "stuck" to the ribs, this one moves. 99.9% not CA. The doc said most likely hormonal type changes with no lasting effects. Will schedule extra mammogram this year to be cautious, and watch extra close. Mom doing better, was very scared for awhile. Thanks to all for encouraging words, thoughts and prayers!! Much appreciated!!

Prayer sent that the lump would dissolve, go away, and not return.
