I know this wasn't an armed robbery, and the victim's life wasn't in danger, but I'm appalled that these girls aren't experiencing consequences, especially as remorseless as they are.

"Smith's mother, Charlene Rubenstrunk, told WPBF that the girls returned to the store Thursday to taunt her daughter.
"They are within 10 feet of the same kid they just robbed last night and there is nothing anybody can do about it. I find that offensive," Rubenstrunk said.
The girls, whose names are not being released because they are minors, told WPBF that they were not remorseful for the crime, and that they did it because they "needed money."
"We went through all that effort to get it, we got all these charges and we had to give the money back. The other girl told WPBF that she was upset because police found them.
Authorities said the teens were not charged because they did not use force to steal the money, nor did they take the money from the Girl Scout’s hands.
The State Attorney's Office will decide if the teens will be charged."
This is outrageous!
These kids should be in Juvenile Hall right now!! And they had no remorse! They were angry that they got caught! They returned to taunt the kids they just robbed, and no one punished them for that!!

What is happening to kids these days?
The inmates are running the asylum!
Well, with behavior like this, they have a great future ahead of them ... in politics!

Why do they still have driving privileges? That should be the first thing they take away from minors who commit a crime.

And in most cases, they should be forced to share a cell in the county jail with their worthless parents for a few days.

Well, at least one parent has a clue...
Police were unable to recover the stolen money, but a father of one of the teens accused in the crime paid the money back to Smith's mother, WPBF reported.
Now this will really float your boat...

Maybe, but not necessarily.
He may feel it's easier to bail his daughter out of trouble than to actually be a good parent.
After all, she's obviously a product of good parenting!

You really don't think that it would stop them from driving do you?

words can not describe the anger I am feeling at this situation right now. Kids these days all think they can hit reset buttons and keep going.

Criminal trespass? I can't imagine why the store would be reticent to give notice to two admitted unrepentant thieves.

"We went through all that effort to get it, we got all these charges and we had to give the money back. I'm kind of irritated," one of the girls told WPBF.
Something tells me these two have a career appointment with the penal system.

Wrong question. What is happening to the adults that are responsible for these kids? What is happening to the adults that are responsible for the "correctional" system?

You know I heard once before a saying that has kinda stuck and this story is proof of it. It was said by the kid that was running the fight club type event out of his high school and video taping awhile back. He said that his parents told thier parents that they where never going to raise their kids by punishing them and that he was a produst of that type of rasing. I guess they girls are a product of the same type.
