I am impressed. How do stop it from firing? Wait until the clip is empty?

The rubber band actually just puts pressure back toward the return of the trigger. You have to have your finger on the trigger for it to fire. Light pressure on the trigger will allow the rubber band to pull the trigger back after recoil, then the finger pulls the tigger again. That is what makes this method legal because your finger is pulling the trigger multple times, not just once.

I used to do this on semi-auto's years ago by taking a soda tab (the kind that pulled completely off) and stick it up behind the trigger. The shorter travel and the recoil would do the same thing. They make tactical triggers and used to make a product called a 'rockin' roller' that work that way also.

I don't own an AR-15, but I think I will give this a whirl on my AK. Looks like fun, if it can be done safely.

I have used bump firing on several guns in the past including a Garand, while it rocks as far as fun, it's pretty wasteful of ammo, and very inaccurate, and it is not really full auto, it's just semi auto writ fast.

A) is that totally legal?

B) if ATF happens to be auditing the range when you do it, are you going to get harassed in any way once you show them what you did?

Just wondering. I'm not philosophically against full auto weapons per se, and I guess they could be a lot of fun to shoot. But I do think that they are, for the most part, a waste of perfectly good ammunition... ...although it would be cool to own a select fire sub gun like an MP5 or something.

It's semi auto so you need a SA category license.

If you can conceal that then carry a Calico M950. 50rds of 9mm JHP loving in a smaller package. I cant conceal mine though, too hot in Houston for a jacket.

A) Yes. The gun only fires one time for each function of the trigger.

B) Never say never, but it's unlikely. Compliance branch (folks doing the audits) aren't all that concerned about criminal branch matters.

A certain level of recoil is required, or it won't work. Your trigger hand has to be pretty loose, to allow the gun to move independent of your trigger finger.

It can work on most, just be careful about weapons that are not meant to potentially be full auto. I did this once on a 10/22 and had a shell go off as it was trying to go into battery and jam. Luckily only had a small piece of brass graze my arm, but it could have been much worse. :nono:
