I'm going to a
non-sporting event at Reunion Arena on Saturday.
I'm hoping it's not posted 30.06 -- can anyone confirm?

According to their website, Reunion Arena is "part of the City of Dallas". The people who work there are city employees.
So I would assume that under the law, it cannot be enforceably posted with 30.06 signs.
But if it is posted, my advice would be to leave your gun in the car when attending the event.

Thanks! I get a great big
DUH for not checking
their website.

OK, for the record, CHL is allowed with the obvious exceptions.
Reunion Arena wrote:Carrying a firearm on these primises without a valid concealed handgun license is prohibited. A holder of a license to carry a concealed handgun may not enter these premises when the premises are being used for high school, collegiate or professional sporting events, or as a place of religious worship, or for activities sponsored by a schoool or educational institution.
An offense is a Class A misdemeanor or a third degree felony, sections 46.02(a), 46.03(a), and 46.035(b), Penal Code.
Obviously, the sign is outdated on religious worship.

Yeah. I was glad to see that on Saturday. I just wish I'd known in advance. Someone on here indicated that Reunion was posted, so I left my weapon behind.

I was in section 102, row 5. With any luck, you were nearby.

Actually, I think I was. I was down on the floor, right in front of one of the boom cameras. It was quite an experience, and the time seemed to fly by.
