Tucker HF1 - Gear Report

Last July I ordered my 2nd Tucker HF1. This one will probably be the only BBQ rig I will ever own. I received it Monday 2-25-008. It was 7 months to the day from order & worth the wait.
Tucker holsters are top of the line in design, workmanship, beauty & durability. I chose the Diamond Cut design w/ a Texas Concho. Died Black Cherry.
1.5" belt loops are snug fit from the package but not so tight, like some, that the holster will not slide on the belt while rigging up.
Dye color is rich & deep into the leather. The edges are burnished, all edges are very smooth, & evenly died black that blends & fades beautifully into the Black Cherry.
Every border stamp is even in depth, clean, & exactly spaced. All are straight w/ the borders & stitching. Tooling wraps all the way around the holster to the back side. All the hand work is typical Tucker quality.
White stitching contrasts beautifully w/ the dark Black Cherry.
Holster sets on the belt at about a 15 degree cant. For me personally & most others I think, this is the preferred angle for a comfortable draw.
Positioning of the belt loops draws the holster snuggle to the body. With a quality gunbelt there is no sag or rock on the belt at all.
Gun retention is excellent & the draw is still smooth at presentation & return.
Tucker is quality leather that will last for yrs & the owner can secretly get excited as he hurridly grabs for his cover vest when the wind accidently blows it, "just enough."

That's a really sharp looking holster LT.
I have been checking those out on the webpage for awhile now. Looks like you picked the perfect combination.

He builds holsters for your gun.
You can get the 1911 faster than you can get the holster.
THant one was a 7 month wait to the day.

That's darn pretty, LT. Now just be careful not to get any sauce on it at the BBQ!! Seriously, that is a very nice looking rig. I think you may have to get some custom grips on that 1911 with medallions to match the gun leather! That's the kind of piece that makes a grandkid very proud someday.

Fine looking rig and I just ordered a Milt Sparks VMII for my P345, I may have to get me one just like this as a show piece, I really like the TX Star.

They're definitely excellent looking holsters, and several hundred dollars of my OIF3 combat pay went towards a pair. Both were offloaded before OIF5, and have since changed hands again. I still need something for my Nighthawk.

Thank you sir. If it had not been for the star the rest would be of little interest to me. He is a Texas holster maker & a good one.

No sir. THis one will do me. I have always wanted one but on the preachers support I can not justify one of these for all my guns & I do not have many. I have what I need, carry & shoot what I have.
I do demand quality in what I trust our safety too but am very conservative when it comes to spending.

I have honestly thought about this. I may have to will this thing & the rest of my gear to a friend. Son is lefty, Son in law is lefty. Eldest grandson is a lefty. 6yr old GS is right handed but no interest yet in shooting, hunting, he does fish w/ his dad.
Oldest Granddaughter - No interest. The 8 yr old Gr. D. hunts & shoots her BB gun and .22. She may get it.
I really do have lots of friends on the board here

. Thank you Lord for every one of them.
I imagine this post should make me lots more.
