Fight at school

gun related will become evident. I substitute teach at 3 area school systems. At one Thursday teaching PE classes. There were 4 classes together each period. Three regular certified teachers & myself. There was a construction crew doing a major building project on the school grounds about 35 yds from the playground area where we were. About a 25 man crew. One of the kids hollered fight & when we turned around to look 2 of the workers were fighting. This was no dance or wrestling match. Both these guys were tough & fighting. After we looked it was about 30-40 seconds of hard fighting until one went down for good & the kicking started. A couple more of the hands broke it up then. Two of the regular teachers told the kids to go back to playing. After it was evident that the kids were to stay out on the playground I told them I thought it needed reporting to administration & LE & the kids needed to be gathered up & taken in the building. Four classes, nearly 100 kids scattered over a small soccer field, a kickball field, a swing & climbing area. It will be alright was the answer. As the one that was down got up & went to his truck the youngest coach laughed & said "I hope he don't come back w/ a gun." Exactly. I reminded of the teacher shot in Tyler. Both guys were sent home from the work cite. Then I start thinking about return of one or both for being fired. The oldest teacher said he would report it to the office. Any school admins out there? Was I over reacting?
