Brought it home from the gun show today. Can't wait to get it to the range.

Yes they are. You're a good hand with a camera Ghentry!
I've read some very good range reports on the RA's, so be sure to give us that range report Ray asked for ASAP.

Charles... It looks like now I'm going to start my reloading career with the .45 instead of the .40. If you don't mind sharing your pet load for .45's, I'd appreciate it.

If I can find my Excel spreadsheet on load data, I'll email it to you. It has test results of some (but not all) of the various loads for several different calibers I've loaded.
Currently, my standard .45 ACP load is 5.3 grains of WW231 using a Montana Gold 230 FMJ. It's running about 825fps from a 5" gun. I ocasionally load much hotter .45 ACP, but rarely any more and certainly not for regular range work. The 230 gr FMJ is a reliable feeding round in most 1911's.
I've loaded many, many 200 grain SWC (cast or copper plated cast [PSWC]) but I changed to all jacketed bullets a good while back. I've experimented with several different loads, but 5.8 to 6.0 grains of WW231 work very well. I don't recall the velocity, but I check the spreadsheet, if I can find it.
Regards,
Chas.

Thanks. I'm not completely clear on your question. I just got a Lee Anniversary Kit for Christmas and I'd like to load just for practicing at the range. The cheaper the better of course.
