How often do you guys go to the range and practice with your pistol? I used to try to go once a month...it was actually more like once every two months.

Nowadays I try to keep my proficiency up and try to go twice a month. I burn through about 150 rounds every session (10 G19 mags). With ammo costs now how many rounds are ya'll putting through a range session? I thought costs would slow me down but training is training...

Lately it has been every week. But, I am going to have to cool it a little. Especially when you have a .357 sig - getting to be expensive with what the cost of these are!

Define proficiency...

I used to put 200 rounds downrange once a week for the first year I owned my pistol. I got my groups really tight. I can easily make a jagged hole the size of a pack of cigarettes at 7 yards. I had bragging rights.... until I shot an IDPA match. Now I shoot around 50 rounds per match. I try to go weekly but it's been more like once a month lately.

I'm disabled and i reload,the gun range is about 5 miles from home i go anywhere from 2 to 3 times a week and shoot between 200 and 500 rounds each time,everyting fom .22 to .308 rifle.I love shooting my Grizzly 44 mag at about 6 cents a round ,sometimes if it's duringthe week we will set up bowling pins at 50 yards and try to hit them

I've got my own pistol range. I try to shoot once every couple of weeks. IDPA every couple of months. I'd estimate 50 to 100 rounds each time. I used to shoot more when I was learning. Lately, my health hasn't been so great.

Not near as much as I did and more than I will if the prices don't come down.

the family at shiloh shooting range has welcomed me with open arms and i try to stop by once or twice a week. One time i came a bit late and still let me finish before they rushed me out. lately i've been going up there just to talk gun stuff with them, a home away from home. i put around 200-250rnds downrange each time.

Weekly, with the occassional few rounds fired in the back yard if need be.

I try and shoot around 100 rounds once a month at the Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine.

About once per month these days (used to be once per week when I had more time). I train a lot outside of the range, i.e. airsoft, pellet, dry fire. All combined, I try to handle a firearm every day and probably fire 150 projectiles of various types down range every week. Live fire is generally restricted to organized training sessions with an instructor to learn someting new or correct bad habits that may be forming.

I generally shoot IDPA once a montha nd try to get to the range with my duaghter at least one other time a month. Figure 200 rounds a month.

I try to go about every two to three weeks and send between 150 and 200 rounds down range during each trip. As others have indicated, though, ammo prices may change that frequency...

I used to go twice a week, but I've had to cut that down to once weekly due to ammo costs. Recently I've gone even less at a twice-a-month rate. Maybe if/when I get into reloading I'll be able to go more often.
