Very similar to the ARES FMG designed by Eugene Stoner in the 80's.

What?
It's a semi-auto GLOCK handgun with a butt stock.
And, when closed, its concealed.
Why would this not be allowed???
Would this actually be considered a "rifle" by the suits in Austin? :headscratch
Simply for the stock??? :headscratch
That makes little sense...

EDIT: Looking again, I noticed the elongated barrel.
Still, its a GLOCK. And IIRC, GLOCK doesn't make rifles.

Nope, it's full auto built around a Glock.

He says its a machine gun and then talks about the auto sear.

No, actually he said it "has an area to allow an auto sear". Just like any GLOCK.

I stand corrected.

However, due to the shoulder stock, it would still be a SBR.

I don't know about the rest of the suits in Austin, but in my office we showed this to the Chief and requested he buy some. Of course, we told him we had a flashlight he should consider since we are examining a few new flashlights right now anyway.

BTW, his answer was that we were supposed to be looking at smaller flashlights, like Stingers.

I think this "prototype" is ingenius...

Sure, it can be brought up to the shoulder like a rifle, but it is concealed until it is "deployed" in a self-defense situation...

See, when the gun control crowd gets all up in a tissy about things like this, and does what they can to demonize, and try to ban its production and sale to the public, you just have to know someone has done something very clever, and right for a change...

SBR = Price of the box, price of a Glock + $200 tax stamp and a buncha paperwork

Thank God we live in Texas where we can still get stuff like this
