Does anyone know that when a LEO pulls you over that when they run your plates that it shows if you are a CHL holder? As soon as I got my CHL I recieved new license plates was wondering if this was just a coincidence or if it does show up.

The recieving license plates was coincidence.

I believe CHL is only tied to the DL. I have several vehicles titled in my name that I do not drive but other family members do i.e. father-in-law and daughter. I would hate for them to be pulled over and then greeted by an officer who suspects someone in the car is armed because they ran the plate.

This has been discussed here before. The CHL is tied only to the DL check. Some good dispatchers will try to run a DL chekc on the registered owner of the car when they get the plate return, just to save a little time. After all, it is probably a 50-50 chance that the owner is driving if it comes back to an individual.
In this case, the new plates were just a coincidence. Two different departments involved. TxDOT handles care registrations and DPS handles DL's and CHL's.

If my car was stolen and the car thief was pulled over, I would hate for the police officer to relax because he thought my car was being driven by me, i.e. someone with no wants, warrants or convictions.

If the car was reported stolen...that would not be an issue. Running the plates would show it was stolen and the LEO would be on high alert.
