Clarification on shipping

There was a discussion on another forum about firearm shipping and I found out that I was given some incorrect information at my local FedEx SC
. They operate based on the same info that they gave me, but according to company policy posted here:http://www.fedex.com/us/services/terms/us.html#firearms they are operating on what must be an outdated company reg book (which I saw and read myself) because the manager showed me the reg when I politlely argued that I HAD to ship overnight. This was about a year ago and I have shipped two-day after declaring and asking every time since. The bottom line is they probably won't cover any loss incurred by the shipper if an amployee misquotes policy. I have been lucky until now, but I don't want anyone else to lose out.
Since this post may be around for a while, I suggest checking the web page prior to every shipment to check for changes.
Just to be clear there were no laws broken, only a FedEx policy based on their advice. I just shipped a pistol on Wednesday and they are still operating incorrectly
.
PER FEDEX RULES YOU MUST SHIP OVERNIGHT TO PROTECT AGAINST A LOSS IF THE THE FIREARM GOES MISSING!!!
