I notice that some of you have wonderful ideas for how to properly carry a concealed firearm, including a BUG, but what I am wondering is how do you carry spare clips/magazines or quick loaders for revolvers, or if you don't carry them at all.
Thanks

Spare mag just visibleon left side. It is a 10rd Wilson Combat in a Comp-Tac carrier.
When I carry 2 it is in a leather double by Mitch Rosen. (bought used) The 1st sets on my belt at the same lpace the single does 2nd jsut behind the belt loop at the suspender snap.

+1 On Comp-Tac. For dressy occasions, I also have a "single skin" magazine carrier by High Noon Holsters.

Wow, thanks for the info. Didn't know about some of these sights. Now should I look into getting a single or double holder (because when stuff hits the fan I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it) For clarification I have a Sig P226 .40cal staggered mags. if that makes any difference on what I should get.

BTW....if you aren't carrying a M1 Garand, then you won't be carrying any "Clips".

your right, I forgot that clips belong to the garand, magazines to handguns. Although on my lanky frame (6'6 kind of skiny with loose clothing) I might be able to hide one. The hard part comes from being able to afford one (poor college student, lived off ramen for 3 months to be able to get the down payment on the 226, thank god for birthday money)

Did you splurge on the name brand ramen or save the $0.02 on the generic?
Seriously though, for a while I carried a spare magazine in my sock. Took a couple days to get used to, but I just never could find a way to sit comfortably with it on my hip. Maybe that'll give you some alternative just in case.

For your tight budget you might check out a few other possiblities. When I got started & carried extras in an old cell phone case. Double stacks fit some of those quit well. Others may have some other good make do ideas until you can get what you like.

I carry one extra mag for mh HK USP 45 in my front pocket. Weak side if just one gun is carried, and strong side if a bug is carried in the weak side pocket. Works well for me. Its the only thing in the pocket. I have looked at mag carriers, but so far have not found one that I wanted to spend the money on.

Well, it could be an SKS or Mosin-Nagant, as well!
On a more serious note, I carry 2 spare mags (15 rounds each) at about 8:00, with my Hi-Power at 3:00.
Here is what it looks like, as well as a picture of the mag carrier.
The shirt you see there is what I typically wear for concealment.

When you have the funds available to purchase dedicated magazine carriers, I would suggest single magazine carriers, rather than a double magazine carrier. Single magazine carriers will be easier to arrange on your belt to your exact liking and afford more placement options.
Given the choice between a leather (or other fabric) double magazine carrier, and a kydex one, I would choose the leather as it would be more flexible and probably conform to your belt and body more comfortably than the equivalent piece in kydex. NcongruNt's leather double magazine carrier looks as though it would not be too uncomfortable.
