Bank of America branch made the statement that they "realize that some of their customers are armed..." They don't post the 30.06 or any other.

There is a state bank in waco that posts. It's located at the corner of n19th street and Lake shore drive- somewhat isolated with hedges blocking view from some of the roads. Commercial customers have been followed to the bank by interested parties but the manager refused to un-post because he claimed the banking commission required it. This is not true but the bank manager is pure chicken do-do.

19th & Lake Shore... (I don't want to say the name I think it starts with 'G') If I'm thinking right that’s a Credit Union. It might be more of a problem with the bored of directors or whatever they want to call their governing body.

Oh well you can just do your banking in the drive through and swing down to Praco and fondle all the guns till you feel better.

some sort of community state bank the name never sticks in my mind.Says its FDIC insured. The drive through is a good idea but I know using their money card machines is not. I left my cash card in their machine one time and they destroyed it. Bank Policy!

Praco is kind of a bank itsownself. I deposit a lot of money there.

My wife is a Teller Manager for Bank of America. I posed your question to her and her reply was chicken doo dod.

Her bank isn't posted. In fact, I don't know of any bank that is posted in The Woodlands area.

She doesn't even know of a "Banking Commission". Me thinks that ye olde leg hath been pulled.

Actually, the leg that got pulled belonged to a customer of that bank who used it for his business deposits. I knew the statement about the banking commission was excremental from the beginning.

My money is in Bank of America and just like your wife said, their are no signs on the doors. Long before the CHL passed, they were aware that some of their depositors were taking steps to guard their deposits or, so they said when interviewed during the initial whoop de do over the law.

Actually, there is a Texas Department of Banking, which in years past was know as the Texas Banking Commission...

Interesting information. My wife has only been working in the banking industry for 6 years. In that time she is not aware of a "banking commission".

The Texas Banking Commission only regulates state chartered banks. They usually have names like "First State Bank of ... "

Most banks have a federal charter.

Did it used to be Hibernia?

I posted over in the "businesses that ban" thread about the Hibernia/CapitalOne changeover. On all the Texarkana area banks, they removed Hibernia's ghostbusters signs, and don't have any signs at all about firearms.

But man... those new colors are uggg-leeee!

I have posted this before, but the Bank of the West on Airport Frwy in Irving has a sign that wants you to report to the Bank President if you are carrying I choose not to report.
