Getting shot with your own gun...

Clayton Cramer and a couple other guys maintain a blog of sorts devoted to collecting on-line newpaper stories of guns used in citizen self-defense situations. I have occasionally made mention of it in this forum, and given links to it (http://www.claytoncramer.com/gundefense ... ogger.html). They have been collecting stories since 13 Sep 2003.
Today they put an interesting note on the latest entry. The latest entry was about a guy who discovered someone burgling his home, confronted the burglar, got in a struggle, and was subsequently shot in the arm by his own gun during the struggle. (He lived. The burglar ran away.)
Clayton's comment was this:
BTW, Clayton is running for state senator in Idaho, against an incumbent who is apparently no friend of the 2A. Best wishes to him.

If you haven't read this blog, you might find it interesting to check on it once in a while. I have an RSS feed to it to keep me posted.**Note**
Anti-gun advocates are constantly claiming that a defensive weapon is far more likely to be taken away and used against you. However, this story (the 3,459th story posted on the Civilian Gun Defense Blog to date) may possibly make the third or fourth such story, while we have documented 147 incidents of a criminal's gun being used against him (also to date). Since our news searching methods are unbiased (that is, they will turn up shootings both by citizens and by criminals), the real world stories are clearly in contrast to this claim.
