Ok sorry if this questioned has been asked already I could not find a thread on it.

Ok so I am about to buy myselfa Kimber Pro Carry and was wondering what holster may fit it comfortably?

As my daily carry I tote a Springfield Service XD 45ACP bi-tone in a Comp-Tac Gurka slide model. It wears well and melts to my side. I just seem to love the 1911 frame and am looking for a good holster.

Just wanted some oppinions from some 1911 guys out there. So here is what I am looking at either a Comp-Tac C-T.A.C a Cross Breed Super Tucker or a Galco NSAII IWB Holster . But I am up for suggestions.

Thanks
Colin

Everyone has different answers for what is comfortable, infact many of US have a box (or four) of empty unused holsters. I usually recommend you try everything from nylon holsters to A good Tucker Answer. I like to recycle my holsters so I have done a lot of trading them off I currently have 5 holsters which is down from 24 three weeks ago. best of all the holsters I got rid of have acquired me a NIB S&W wheel gun, a ton of ammo, some car parts for my EFI project, ect. Don't just box up the holsters you don't like and let them rot, recycle them and get something useful, interesting, and/or fun. You can let someone else save a little money and they will often offer you their unused holsters on the cheap.

Let me just say that if the Gurka works for your XD, why wouldn't it work just as well for a slimmer pistol? Were I you, that is where I would start.

Just an FYI that I carried my Kimber in a CTAC for about a year, then switched to an MTAC. I like the leather-and-Kydex combination.

Look at the Brommeland IWB holsters for the 1911. The Brommelands are available w/o a wait. I have one for my Kimber Aegis and I love it.

I have a crossbreed supertuck for my Kahk. It doesn't have a tension device and has become a little loose. Still a good holster, but the leather will stretch the more you wear it and it wont be as snug. The leather backing also is loosing its stiffness and is flopping over the gun.

I just bought the ctac for my full size kimber, I love it. No leather to get in the way of your hand and its fairly comfy on long car rides.

Galco makes a very nice holster for your Kimber 4" pistol and it is called the "CON266B/H" .....(B/H = Black or Havanna).
This holster in my opinion is a great value for the money and as good as, or better than, some more expensive "Custom" holsters that you pay a lot more for and have to wait forever.

I say this having personally compared them with Sparks/Brommeland/Horseshoe Leather holsters that I have owned.

Ditto for Galco. I've got one for each of my two carry pistols, and they work great.

Galco Royal Guard IWB. Works great. The gun disappears and stays locked in place.

The Royal Guard is what I use lately for my Kimber. It works great. My H&K goes in a Galco Summer Comfort, which is kind of similar to the Royal Guard, but smooth side out, and a different kind of leather. Both work equally well.

Just this past Saturday while in College Station for A&M graduation, I went over to Champion Firearms and bought me a Comp-Tac C.T.A.C. for my new Ultra Covert. I also got a mag holder. I've been wearing them every minute that I've been awake since, even on the 7 hour car trip home. It's comfortable, and conceals even under just a T-shirt. I'd probably try the Gurka since it works for your XD. If not, the C.T.A.C. is a good bet, too. I've had luck with it.
