Apparently, a woman was fighting off a carjacker, when she got shot in the face at Northpark Mall in Dallas.
I was supposed to go there with my family tonight, but we elected to stay in Rockwall and go to Northpark
on Saturday.

Sad news.

DALLAS — A woman was shot in the face Friday night while fighting off a carjacker at NorthPark Center.

The carjacker escaped and was being sought by police, who were combing the area by air and ground.

Witnesses said the victim managed to drive her pickup truck to the front of the mall between two anchor stores where she summoned help.

The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to Baylor University Medical Center in serious condition.

Several entrances to the shopping mall at North Central Expressway and Northwest Highway were sealed off by police as they searched for the suspect, who was said to be wearing a neon green shirt.
