The statistics are bogus. I drive a black car because I was very confident it was the best deal I could get (a.k.a. cheap) and it gets good mileage.

I drive a biege Honda and a Red nitro, Color was almost no concideration when I bought my cars. It was the features and price I wanted. the colors were incidental.

I'm with Keith, My black econo car was given to me by our son. It was worth more to drive than trade in.

I have the image of silve cars looking like 2 ton suppositories --> hurtling down the road at 60 mph and I've often wondered what the people who drive them were thinking when they bought that color!

I drive a forest green Nissan Pathfinder. My color isn't even listed there. I bought the vehicle used, for its features and price, but was pretty happy with the color.

Both of our vehicles are used, and we were more concerned about price, mileage, and general condition than color.

Silver truck, white Suburban. Its just a cover for the rapid mood swing bipolar type behavior. And that's just the spousal unit.

Our vehicles are purple (I think Chevy calls it "Plum") and gold, and both were bought with practicality in mind, although the purple did enter into it a little.

My choice of car color runs toward the lighter colors (white, light blue metallic, light bronze metallic were the last three), because they are a little easier to cool in the Texas summer.

Both the wife's car and my truck are a gold color, which means I am lazy. (i.e. the dirt and dust doesn't show up nearly as badly on gold as it does white or black or pretty much any other color, so I don't wash them as often. )

That explains why there's so many trucks and SUVs going the other way!
