Well I went to the gunshow today and bought a replacement for the old double barrel sxs I had traded away a couple weeks ago for an AK. after asking for peoples opinions on various shotguns I wound up purchasing a Mossberg 500. Besides it looking Tacticool and it seems to fit the purpose of what I was looking for. Though I have a question I am still a little confused on, Can I shoot slugs thru this shotgun or do I need to purchase another barrel? Also does anyone own a Mossberg 500 and have they attached a flashlight to theirs, if so what type of flashlight setup did you use. And as far as the sight bead how difficult is it to replace with one of those trueglow type sights.Thanx to all that respond. :tiphat: :txflag:

If all you want is a fiber optic bead there are two options on a plain barrel Mossberg. First and easiest, buy a Tru Glo plain barrel shotgun sight it just snaps on and works very well. The other option is to have a threaded front bead installed on your gun this is easy to do and most can do it themselves. I put rifle style sights on my 500A and haven't' looked back. Slugs are no problem in any cylinder bore shotgun but, if you are going to be shooting them a lot you might want rifle sights on the gun.

Well, with all the weight of the equipment attached to it, recoil has got to be about nil. :smilelol5:
