Unity. Teamwork. Goal Focused. Whatever You Want to Call It

Have you ever noticed something about the antis?
They are a lot like us pro-RKBA folks in some respects.
Some of them just want to infringe a little. Take away assault rifles. Sort of reminds you of Zumbo.
Some just want to reduce us to 5 round magazines. Just like NRA BOD Joaquin Jackson.
Some are mildly anti. I can't think of any I care to name but in my world if you don't think the same as I do then, well, you are an anti. Here is your sign. Just kidding, this is humor.
If you vote democrat, own a gun, and have a hunting license, you are an anti in my book. Why would a thinking individual do this?
Some are rabidly anti. Daley. Bloomberg. Giuliani. Ann Richards. The staff of Texas Monthly. Most Journalists. Lots of republicrats. Most college students. Rosie Odonnel.
There is one characteristic that all antis share, whether through joint thought and actiion or by accident. This characteristic is that they all have the common goal of taking our second amendment rights away from us. They are a cohesive unit. Allow me to point out something.
The individual who is mildly anti will be pleasantly content if the rabidly anti individual achieves a success in squashing your right because they are, by their nature, an anti and will adapt to life without their 2A right.
We, as 2A loving individuals, lost in our little group of forums, are busy debating open carry and all other aspects of our chosen obsession.
We, my brothers and sisters, need to get our act together. Are we so busy debating each other that we ignore what we really should be doing?
We have accomplished much over the years, the successes are well documented.
When was the last time we contacted our legislators about an issue?
I will fess up first. I contacted Senators Cornyn and Hutchison and Congressman Paul last week twice reminding them that there was no action yet on drilling off the coasts of FL, CA, or in ANWR and that diesel was not getting cheaper.
I contact my people at least once a month on issues, often 2A related. I thanked Hutchison for the Heller stuff and criticized Cornyn for his lack of support. I made his assistant durned near cry.
I must do more.
I am a life NRA member. Some people hate the NRA for trheir times of weakness but I understand compromise in Washington. Are you ready? If we pulled together, as a unit, there would be no need to compromise.
I am a life member of the TSRA.
I will do more.
I pay for my two son's memberships.
I will do more.
What have you done lately?
We need to be THE squeaky wheel. We need to be the force Washington and Austin has to deal with.
The 800 pound gorilla.
The 24 foot long great white shark.
They need to hear from us all the time.
They hear from the environmentalist wackos all the time.
They hear from the antis all the time.
In summary, we spend too much time disagreeing on how much infringement we will put up with. We will never not have infringement. We need to counter every infringement attempt. We need to counter evey statement from ANY anti with clarity and force. This includes while standing in line at HEB or standing in line after church greeting the preacher.
Zero tolerance for infringement. We don't need to debat whether or not NICS checks are good or if loonies shouldn't own firearms or if felons should be denied firearms. IT DOES NOT MATTER. The laws are already there. All it takes now is for the feds to take the NICS data that they can not keep, declare all CHLers as suffering from OCD or depression at the latest assault weapon ban bill and make all firearms owners felons.
We need to talk more about what we did today. Who did we bother? What did we say?
Here is a hint. Emails to Washington is pretty much deleted. Phone calls and snail mail are the key. You can still send emails. Email headings that scream "DON'T TAKE MY GUNS" do attract attention.
IT DOES NOT MATTER because they are not going to stop until they take them all. Us vs them, guys and gals.
