I recieved a email from Iowa. My friend had several questions. What are your opinion?
" Just Wondering..... Where are all of the Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking forhelp in restoring Iowa and helping the folks affected by the floods? Where is all the media asking the tough questions about why the federalgovernment hasn't solved the problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks andtrailers are? Why isn't the Federal Government relocating Iowa people to free hotelsin Chicago? When will Spike Lee say that the Federal Government blew up the leveesthat failed in Des Moines? Where are Sean Penn and the Dixie Chicks? Where are all the looters? Where is the hysterical 24/7 media coverage complete with reports ofcannibalism and shooting at helicopters?. Where are the people declaring that George Bush hates rural people? How come in 2 weeks, you will never hear about the Iowa flooding everagain? Just wondering... " The reality of the world is not the media view. The real reality is when you walk round the city....talk with friends and family.

It is a completely different environment.

As expected in the Heartland (and especially in rural areas), you see folks coming together to help one another, and not just in times of disaster. They have been raised to be hard working, self sufficient people.

So, no surprise that you don't see anyone wading through waist deep water with a 52" plasma TV over their heads, or waiting for the government to come and save the day.

That's because George Bush doesn't care about white people.
