I think I remember reading that S & W was giving a free range bag to anyone purchasing a new S&W handgun before February 28. Can anyone tell me how to request this?

I don't remember how to request it? Thought it was a mail in card or something? I've got one, and they are nice bags.

Go here and click print this page.
http://www.shootingusa.com/LATEST_UPDAT ... offer.html
Print it out, fill it out, make copies of your reciept showing the dealer name + address and serial number, then put everything in an envelope and mail it in to the address it says.
EDIT: You need to do it quickly if you want to get a bag, the letter must be postmarked by february 28th. You can take it to the post office tomorrow and have them postmark it for you.

We just bought two S & W's. Wife got a 642 38 & I bought a SW9VE. We can always use a couple more range bags. But if we get anymore range stuff we'll need a pack mule.
Thanks

Finally received my first bag. I am impressed. I did not think they would be as nice as they are. Have one more on the way. You can always use it for a gift.

How long to get bag?

It was well past a month. I finally called and the day I called they said it shipped. That saying "patience is a virtue" is bull when it is you that is waiting. Let me know.

Yeah, and if you don't believe it, ask the folks who are checking their mail boxes every hour on the hour waiting for their first CHL's to arrive.

LOL. Talk about waiting.
Over 13 months on a Benelli Super 90 before I lucked out and picked one up at the gun show.
8 months on a Springfield Armory 1911
100 days on my CHL.
6 months for a simple motor swap on my car before I had it out with the mechanic and towed my car home and did the swap myself with a couple of friends.
2 years for waiting on a motor to be built for that same car.
And 30 second waiting on Charles to pass along that Steel Plate variant form.
Do I have patience? Never!

These bags are HUGE. If I filled mine up, I could not carry it.
I have not used it as a range bag but have been using it as luggage.
I wonder if I took checked it at the airport if it would cause a problem or get "lost"?

Second S & W range bag arrived today. We bought a couple of S & W's on the weekend of March 3rd & 4th,2006. Thanks to info from this web site, we sent in our applications to S & W that week. Received one bag last week and another today.
These are very nice. I think I'll go buy another S & W just to get another one. Actually I'm saving up to buy a new MP but probably the range bag give away will be over by then.
